Industrial chic, mountain soul.
The big-gathering heart of the property — soaring great room, gas fireplace, and the best sunset views over the water. Where the welcome dinner and the late-night stories happen.
Whole-Property Lakefront Buyout · Northern Michigan's True North
Three homes on the eastern shore of Arbutus Lake — The Lodge, The Cottage, and The Cabin — rented together as one private retreat. A sandy beach, fire pits, and sunset over the water every single night.
Welcome to Lakemore
There's a particular hush that settles over Arbutus Lake as the sun drops behind the western shore — the water goes copper, the loons call, and someone reaches over to stir the fire. At Lakemore Retreat the whole property is yours alone: no shared docks, no neighbors at the next site, no front desk. Just your people, three homes, and a quarter-mile of golden Northern Michigan evening.
Tricia and Dean have spent years making this feel less like a rental and more like a home you've always known — gourmet kitchens stocked and ready, beds turned down, kayaks waiting on the sand. You arrive; the place does the rest.

“Nothing at Lakemore feels like a rental — it feels like a home.”

The Whole Property · One Group
You rent the whole shore together — never split, never shared. Each home has its own character, but the beach, the lawn, the fire pits, and the sunset belong to your group alone.

The big-gathering heart of the property — soaring great room, gas fireplace, and the best sunset views over the water. Where the welcome dinner and the late-night stories happen.

Classic Up North warmth with the tech you actually want — smart kitchen, fast wifi, cozy nooks. The easy, lived-in middle of the property.

The calm corner of the retreat — perfect for the early risers, the grandparents, or anyone who wants the lake's quiet first thing in the morning.
Sleeps up to ~37 across the three homes — together, as one.

What We Host
Whether it's a team that needs to think, a couple saying "I do," or three generations under one roof — the whole place is yours.

Three homes mean the cousins, the grandparents, and the in-laws each get their own space — and everyone meets back at the fire pit. Many groups return year after year.

A "wedding vacation week" on the water — friends and family stay right on-property. On-site capacity for around 35, with the lake as your backdrop. Weekend dates in May, early June, and late September–October.

Corporate offsites, creative residencies, and milestone celebrations. Screened porches for the working sessions, the lake for everything after. No distractions but the view.
“So beautiful, it needed very little to be ready for a backyard wedding on the lake.”
Shayna G. · September wedding, ~26 guests
On the Water
Arbutus is a 395-acre all-sports inland lake — swimmable May through October, calm in the morning, alive in the afternoon. Your private sandy beach comes with paddleboards, kayaks, and canoes ready to go, and Lakemore Marine can set you up with a boat for water-ski, tubing, and fishing.
A Closer Look
Gourmet kitchens, a game room with a pool table, four-season porches, and fire pits on the sand — all yours for the week.
